Sewing Class (open to drop-ins)
SEWING CLASS at Stony Hollow Farm
Taught by Amber Crispell
This is either child drop-off or Parent-Child class for those who wish to do it together.
Description: Students will learn basic sewing techniques including, sewing curves, hems, elastic bands, & zipper installation.The students will make a pillowcase, pajama pants, tote bag, apron, & pencil case. These projects will be sewn on a sewing machine, which will be provided. If students have their own sewing machines that they would like to use, they may bring them to class.
Beginner to Intermediate Level
Session I: Thursdays, Sep 19th - Oct 24th, 2024, 3:30pm-5:00pm
Session II: Thursdays, Nov 7th - Dec 19th, 2024, 3:30pm-5:00pm
Investment:
6-week session, drop off option: $160
6-week session, Parent + Child: $310
Supplies not included.
Drop-in classes: $37 per class per child or $65 for Parent + Child
About the teacher:
Amber learned how to sew and design clothing at 11 years old, through the local 4-H club. She won many 4-H county and state competitions with her creations. She started teaching kids sewing lessons at 16. Amber has worked with kids and adults teaching beginner to advanced sewing techniques, pattern making, & clothing design. She has also helped several students prepare for their entrance into college fashion programs. Amber loves working with kids and helping them achieve their sewing and fashion design goals. Currently she has her own sewing business, where she specializes in skating/dance costumes and cosplay costumes.
